An MBA by qualification, Meetu Agrawal Srikanth has spent several years in market research, ran a bookstore for children for five years in Khar, Mumbai, and spent two years working in the social sector. She is an avid reader, enthusiastic traveler, and dreams of living in a faraway land with only green around her. She lives with her husband and children in Mumbai.

At present she is working on two manuscripts, both of which question the social conventions that imprison women in a demeaning, self-sacrificing existence; and the consequences that women who dare to revolt and break free have to face. What does it mean to ‘be yourself’ when at the same time you must also be an obedient daughter, a submissive wife and a selfless mother?
